The finer details
What I offer
I do offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation where you can ask questions and decide if you think we could work well together.

I am based in the U.K. and offer face-to-face and online counselling sessions to individuals.
In person sessions are held at City Road, EC1V 1LJ. Online therapy is offered on Zoom which is a secure platform and dependent upon your preference can include video (face to face) or voice call.
There is no obligation to block book sessions in advance or continue with sessions following a free telephone consultation or an initial first session if you do not wish to.
Payment of sessions
Payments are accepted by Direct Debit, PayPal or Bank transfer and must be received within 24 hours before your session. Cash payments will not be accepted.

Face to face sessions are charged at £65.00 per session and online sessions are charged at £60.00 per session. Concessions are available for those experiencing financial hardship, so please do ask for details.
My theraputic approach
The most important thing I want for you in a session, is to feel comfortable, heard and understood and in using the person centred approach I will aim to provide a warm and safe space for you to move at a pace which is suitable for you.
Dependent upon the issues you wish to explore I may use Cognitive Behavioural techniques if there are thoughts and feelings which you are finding challenging and difficult to manage but want to understand or change.
You may wish to explore experiences from your past which still affect you in the present. I may use psychodynamic techniques to delve a little deeper to support you to gain the skills and ability to help you work towards moving forward if this is what your goal is.
At times it is difficult to express what you are feeling and this is where creative techniques can be useful in providing another means of recognizing, articulating and expressing what is sometimes difficult to put into words. We can draw, use imagery, a sand-tray, fictional characters or metaphors to help.

Being an integrative counsellor I will adapt and change my approach to meet your needs. No one size fits all, therefore I will treat you as the unique individual you are, exploring what may work best for you and help you work towards achieving the outcomes you want.

I will review our progress at intervals during your therapy, with your agreement, seeking your feedback and appreciating your honesty to ensure that your sessions and my approach is working for you. I consider it a privilege to journey alongside you at what is often a painful, sensitive and challenging time in your life.
